ARTIST NOTES: Ive admired The Pre Raffaelits and Klimpt for a long time. Having been a fashion artist at 16, I continue to be drawn to these subjects. There is symbolism for the viewer, in the fresh daisies, and the peace lilly, as well as the dying autumn leaves.
The collaged papers on the dress are actually old drawings of mine and this painting presented many challenges in it's resolution.
